MISSION & VISION

ATLANTIC ARTHOUSE’s goal is to diversify the global contemporary art market by enhancing the understanding of and representation of contemporary art and design from the Caribbean Mid-Atlantic.

Considering the challenges of access to art within the Caribbean Mid-Atlantic, ATLANTIC ARTHOUSE meets the needs of a hybrid space dedicated to improving the visibility of artists and access to art & design from these regions: through a permanent online platform and a physical curated fair happening once a year.

Every Human is somehow Caribbean.

The Caribbean Mid-Atlantic is a concentrate of and a reflection of the Whole-World through its cultural diversity: with a complex heritage of communities from the Americas, Africa, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, the Caribbean Mid-Atlantic represents the Identify of the Future. It is a universal shell that opens its doors to everyone.

It is also the future of the contemporary art market which has long been dominated by a Western and unilateral white cube vision fitting only in a limited profile of artists.

The Caribbean Mid-Atlantic, on the contrary, offers new perspectives and voices of long marginalized artistic and cultural communities, blurring the boundaries between human and nature, the physical and the spiritual, the past and the future, and therefore considerably impacting the way we experience, curate and collect art in the global contemporary art market.
